It was one hot afternoon. I was having a conversation with a colleague and friend. She then mentioned in passing that she had no food at home and she doesn’t have money to get food items for her house. I also didn’t have money but I had food to spare. Problem two was if I cooked the food, it would be for a family and I didn’t have enough dishes to pack the food and I couldn’t suddenly invite the whole family to lunch. I had to have informed them ahead. So, what did I do?

I just walked up to my neighbor who had more dishes. Borrowed two sizeable ones and dished the food in them. Took the food to the family. It didn’t help much but it saved a little. It doesn’t take so much sometimes to help. Sometimes, showing love could be buying a G wagon for a family in need or building a house for a relative or also sometimes, Love is just food. #Love till it’s unnecessary

  1. God meant it when He said you can be generous in every occasion (2 Corinthians 9:11). If it was about how much one gives, instead of how much one has left after giving, the phrase ‘widow’s mite’ wouldn’t be a thing.
